Amazon Echo changed the way we get information, play music and control our homes by introducing customers to Alexa, Amazon’s cloud-based voice service. The mission of the Echo Devices and Experiences team is to surprise and delight customers with more ways to access and engage with Alexa.

As the product team for the Echo family of products, we are constantly thinking about new ways to improve the lives of our customers. We take these ideas from concept to launch and are responsible for the full product life cycle. We bring ideas to life through prototypes and we refine them through customer research. We iterate on devices and features until we are confident that we can deliver magical experiences. We invent and we simplify and we obsess over the value to our customers throughout the product life cycle.

It takes an army of super smart, customer-obsessed experts to tackle the challenges and innovations we would like to bring to our customers. We collaborate with user experience designers, industrial designers, scientists, hardware engineers, software engineers, supply-chain operations, marketing, finance and more to bring every Echo product to life.

On a typical day, we wear many hats. We pitch big ideas with passion, roll up our sleeves to test our products and dive deep with engineers to solve complex problems. We exercise high judgment when making priority calls and trade-offs that have an impact on the customer experience. We help select hardware components. We obsess over voice utterances or LED patterns, design user interactions and drive product messaging or positioning. We invest in recruiting a high-performing team and gather around to celebrate successful feature releases.
