DESCRIPTION

Amazon Consumer Payments is looking for a high energy Program Manager to drive product and operational excellence in Payment Services on the Product Performance team.

In this position, applicants will be responsible for driving operational excellence and building the appropriate work-streams to enable programmatic excellence for our internal businesses and customers. Applicants should be comfortable with ambiguity and willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. Ownership and Bias for Action are extremely important, and applicants should have a proven track record of managing short term and long-term projects.

The ideal applicant will possess both a business background that enables them to drive product delivery as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software development engineers. The candidate should also be creative, extremely detail oriented, customer obsessed, analytical, and have global perspective and an understanding of the digital commerce and payments industries.

This opportunity also requires, problem-solving, project management, data analytics and exceptional communication. At the core of the position is high attention to detail and delivering high quality results on time. You will play a critical role to enable Amazon Payments Service continuing scalability by raising the bar of our external partner’s quality, availability, and efficiency.

We'll trust you to: ·
· Work closely with engineering, business operations, and product teams to drive program execution for critical initiatives across Payment Services
· Build business and operational metrics to identify trends and areas for improvements
· Effectively use internal analytics and support tools to develop dashboards, identify root causes and drive corrective actions resolution
· Prioritize enhancements to deliver, technical, operational and product feature improvements
· Develop your knowledge of partner specifications and payments industry capabilities to identify best in class performance



An ideal candidate will have
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external audience
· Excellent problem solving skills and deep-dive abilities including trouble-shooting production issues or identifying potential risks
· Minimum 5-year experience in supporting or operating large-scale systems integrating with external partners
· Consistent track record of delivering large-scale initiatives with internal and external stakeholders and partners
· Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in demanding situations and meet deadlines
· Effectively working in a cross-functional environment with technical, business operations, and product management teams
· Bachelor degree required, MBA preferred
· Prior industrial experience in Payments products and systems is preferred
· Product Management, Project Management and Data Analyst experience to build operational tools

· Product or program management experience in building operational tools
· MBA
