Within our growing Amazon Advertising Marketing & Training organization, we are seeking an accomplished creative director to evolve the Amazon Advertising brand and build the brand identity into an industry leading brand that drives awareness and consideration among advertisers and agencies. The right candidate will have a track record of developing and owning brand management from the ground up, including brand identity and design, up-leveling visual design, and integrating complex brand portfolios into cohesive visual assets. This person should be creative, results oriented, relentlessly focused on the customer, and push to uphold high standards for brand visuals and design execution. This person should be passionate about building a nascent brand, with the goal of evolving brand familiarity and bringing style guides to life in compelling ways. You will also report out on program health regularly to key stakeholders and partner teams across the organization, as well as own agency relationships. You will own the design bar for Amazon Advertising, and be responsible for brand enforcement and training of internal teams and external agencies. This position can be based in Seattle or New York.

This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across Product Marketing, Product Management, Insights & Research, Finance, Channel Marketing, UX, PR, Legal, and Training teams, and requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written. This role requires a creative designer to shift perceptions through inspiration and engagement of brand and agency customers. As an owner, you will define the Amazon Advertising brand visual identity, brand architecture, and brand and product hierarchy for key customers segments. This work builds the foundation and feeds into the development of highly-visible marketing materials, including the development of keynotes, case studies, sizzle reels, website content, event programming, and research created by partner teams.

Specific functions are as follows:
· Define the brand value proposition and messaging frameworks, brand strategy, customer segmentation, and external messaging
· Elevate the creative output of internal resources as well agency partners to ensure that all marketing assets meet a high level of creativity, innovation and brand association
· Refine the external voice and expand public presence of Amazon Advertising across the industry
· Evolve the brand portfolio and own the creative direction of the Amazon Advertising brand
· Set and hold a consistently high bar for design and content quality of all customer-facing marketing materials and events
· Forecast resourcing needs and work with key stakeholders to drive a schedule for projects while prioritizing and using resources effectively
· Approve creative and manage blockers or obstacles in the process
· Have a strong POV and creative vision along with a clear, concise ability to provide direction to internal and external partners
· Craft high-level creative briefs and presentation decks, along with sketches and comps that communicate concepts and campaigns
· Elevate the creative output of internal resources as well agency partners to ensure that all marketing assets meet a high level of creativity, innovation and brand association
· Build and continually assess competitive offerings to ensure brand differentiation and competitiveness
· Manage the brand extensions to facilitate international expansion and localization of the brand
· Serve as an internal advocate for customer needs; ensure broad awareness of, and empathy for, customer pain points

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of creative services experience
· Experience defining the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company
· Experience working at or with a creative or advertising agency, network, streaming service, or studio
· Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
· Experience leading process improvements and/or operations tool implementations (e.g. digital asset management tool)
· Experience working with digital asset management tools
· Bachelor's Degree
·10+ years of experience in brand development or creative direction
· Experience leading a brand design team or agency in technology, advertising or related industry
· A strong portfolio of work showing creative innovation with the ability to articulate big and breakthrough ideas in print, outdoor, AV, social, digital, events and experiential
· Owned development of segmentation and persona development, and mapped value proposition and messaging to customer profiles for go-to-market efforts
· Experience overseeing brand launch and evolution; ideally implementing and executing a new strategy to the marketplace
· Experience working cross-functionally with partner teams to drive adoption and usage of brand assets and guidelines
· Proven success in creative project management and execution across all forms of media, print, video, social and digital mass media
· Quick decision-making abilities demonstrating bias for action under tight timing and pressure
· Analytical mindset shown to drive metrics and benchmarks to ensure continuous improvement in process and results
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal stakeholders and external customers
· Must be able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a sharp attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in eCommerce, advertising or technology sector
· Experience working with a fast-paced and geographically dispersed organization
· Ability to gather, interpret and apply a wide range of data
· MBA
