DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about innovation and have a talent for launching new programs? Amazon Logistics is growing and we are looking for a talented program manager to be part of building the Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Startup Logistics Centers. Logistics Centers support the inventory management, supply risk mitigation, and onsite fulfillment of materials necessary for the launch of new delivery stations.

The Program Manager will have ownership of process design and vendor management for several core functions of Logistics Center operations. The Program Manager will be a highly visible role and their efforts and success will directly contribute to AMZL aggressive building plans for 2021 and beyond. By working collaboratively with teammates and customers, the Program Manager will define business requirements, design and implement processes, and manage operational performance through dashboards, reporting and management routines. The successful candidate must be an effective problem solver, capable of working with minimal supervision, and accountable to own deliverables end-to-end. This role will require scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating implementation, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and program changes.

Critical to the success of this role is your ability to think strategically, develop insightful analysis, communicate findings concisely to Stakeholders, work effectively as part of a cross functional team, and analyze operational data. The program manager will contribute to a faster, bigger and more customer-centric operation for the launch of new AMZL delivery stations.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals
· Influence design and development of strategic processes
· Work directly with external service providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions
· Identify and report on process defects, conduct root cause analysis, and implement process improvements
· Create management dashboards that ensure accurate and robust reporting across key business/project/initiative metrics
· Develop, implement, and govern Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting for a portfolio of program initiatives, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
· Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate
· Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on solutions and delivering results
· Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
· 4+ years of relevant fulfillment/warehouse operations, strategic sourcing or procurement experience; preferably to include 2+ years in an indirect procurement function.
· Proficiency with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems
· Proficiency with Purchasing tools (Coupa, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
· Experience working with distributed teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field
· 5+ years of fulfillment/warehouse operations or strategic sourcing experience, preferably to include 3+ years in an indirect procurement function, at a multinational corporation with global contracts.
· PMP certification
· Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to analyze quantitatively and problem-solve efficiently
· Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment.
· Proficiency with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems
· Experience working with distributed teams
· Experience leading new or start-up related projects where processes will need to be defined, implemented and iterated/refined
