A day in the life
System engineer Req

As a Systems Engineer in AMOE(Alexa Music Excellence team), you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting the systems that cross cuts across Amazon's music service teams. You will coordinate with SDE’s, SysDev’s and TPMs to build and support the infrastructure the teams need to automate and build platforms. You will work with product owners,SDM’s and CS to evaluate, deploy, and support mission-critical tools. You will customize and integrate third-party software to meet Amazon's needs. You will improve existing infrastructure to ensure it continues to meet Amazon's high bar for operational excellence.

As a Systems Engineer, you must be customer-focused, responsive, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment. In this role, you will:

* Be responsible for managing tickets end-to-end(Customer Privacy tickets), including identifying a business need, understanding pain points ,identifying and evaluating software solutions to automate the process, updating the ticketing infrastructure and reducing the ticketing resolving time.
* Support SDE’s to build a robust platform and tools.
* Work closely with engineering and business teams to plan, design, analyze, develop, and implement systems for development such as design, product integrity/reliability, and prototype builds.
* Provide technical assistance in evaluating, integrating, and deploying solutions
* Provide technical guidance to other teams within AmazonMusic services

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field at time of application.
· Knowledge of the syntax of languages such as Java, C/C++ or Python.
· Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous technical internship(s), if applicable.
· Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
· Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
· Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
· Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.
