Position Summary

Do you find what to watch on TV very quickly? Do you love the user experience of existing video apps? Do you love ads experiences when you watch vidoe? If the answer is no, then come change that. Our team is re-inventing how to find content and how to make ads compelling and innovate in the video ads space.

As a UX Designer, you will work closely with a small team of engineers and product managers to develop new and delightful ad experiences for the IMDb TV app on the most popular connected device platforms (Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV). Our team’s primary focus is to innovate on the ad-supported entertainment experience. We are providing new, exciting ways for customers to discover and enjoy premium content, in addition to unlocking new opportunities for advertising on Amazon, providing brands (big and small) with a place to tell their story.

You have a passion for designing innovative products paired with a proven track record of delivering results by working with cross-functional teams. You have a multidisciplinary design background, with a focus on user research, excellent communication skills, strong project management skills, and are unwavering in your commitment to the customer experience.

You will collaborate with other designers, product managers, engineers, and others across the company to turn creative ideas into real products. Responsibilities:
· Produce inventive and stunning aesthetics.
· Create information architecture, wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes to communicate your designs to the team.
· Dive deep into customer pain points—advocate and invent on behalf of them.
· Work closely with others in the broader advertising and digital services organizations to deliver results across shared goals.
· Continually give and solicit UX/CX feedback from others across a wide-range of disciplines to achieve a rich perspective.
· Partner with engineers, program managers, sales, and product managers to design and build first-class customer and advertiser experiences from the ground up.
· Ability to understand and solve for complex workflows for Ad operational tools

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of design experience
· An available online portfolio

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·
· 7+ years of experience as a designer, interaction designer, or similar role.
· BFA/BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
· A portfolio of work that includes examples of high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, user flows, research, interaction models, prototypes, or other applicable work.
· Experience designing and building mobile and/or web applications or other software.
· Experience in designing operational tools for complex workflows.
· Fluency in best practices for information architecture, interaction design, user-centered design processes, and user experience principles.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust quickly amongst peers and leadership.
· Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business needs, and customer expectations.
· Demonstrated visual design experience.
· Experience designing dashboards, reports, and/or data visualizations.
· Ability and bias to work collaboratively with other creative, technical, and business-minded professionals.
· Experience designing for TV/connected device (Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV) interfaces.
· Experience conducting user research.
· Experience analyzing experiment results and formulating actionable recommendations.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
