Amazon Music is searching for a content curator for International Music Genre to implement and execute our programming goals and help drive engagement for Amazon Prime Music. The curator will be responsible for creating, managing and optimising music content for customers of Prime Music, including playlists and stations for international content – all genres. The person in this role will need extensive knowledge of new and catalogue music across a range of International music genres, sub-genres as well as international artistes. Along with specific expertise in the following genres namely Pop, Dance, Electronic, Rock, Indian indie, Alternative, Hip-hop, the candidate is also required to know the IN music market in depth, understand the nuances of sub cultures and consumption patterns for International/ English language. Experienced in curation, the ideal candidate will need to be music-obsessed and happy spending time deep in music – listening to all the latest releases and crafting great playlists – but be equally comfortable owning entire work streams end-to-end: developing content & genre strategies, managing delivery of projects and analysing (and taking action on) customer behaviour along with keeping a pulse on the international & indie music soundscape in the country. The candidate should have in depth experience at taking data and customer backward call to strategise and research the needs of IN specific customer segments and apply findings to craft tailored international genre content for IN audiences. The curator will create key components of our service offerings and apply extensive music knowledge to create hand-curated experiences specifically for Amazon Prime Music customers. She will be the voice of new music releases and consumption trends internally and externally for said genres, gather, analyse, report, and act on customer engagement and content usage, manage entire work streams, defining strategy and delivering added value for their respective genre while working with local stakeholders and global teams.


Basic Qualifications
· Bachelors level degree 5+ years proven work experience in music programming, editorial, A&R, and/or running an editorial calendar
· Demonstrate in-depth knowledge about a variety of music styles and genres in the International Genre, both new music and catalogue, mainstream and cutting edge
· Deep understanding and engagement with current social media platforms
· Deep understanding and engagement of IN audiences with English language and International music
· Ability to set aside personal preferences to curate content for varied customer groups and regularly incorporate both customer and peer feedback Industry-leading knowledge in two or more key international genres – Pop, Dance, Electronic, Hip-Hop, Rock and Alternative
· Exceptional writing & content reviewing skills
· Demonstrate proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
· Consistent use of data to drive improvements for customers ( end users as well as labels)
