Key job responsibilities
As a Technical Program Manager, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative software solutions that will form a core part of Amazon Devices. You will work a cross-functional engineering team driving programs from design to launch. You will be expected to have strong technical deep dive skills, excellent project management skills, great communication skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.

A day in the life
In this role, you will:
· Work with key stakeholders in product management & partner engineering teams to define strategy and requirements
· Drive development on new features from design through delivery
· Work with partner teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch time-lines
· Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control

About the team
The Device OS team plays a central role in creating these innovative devices at Lab126. The Device OS team is responsible for the board bring up, low level software, core operating system architecture, innovative framework feature development, associated cloud services and end-to-end system functions that brings these devices to life. The software built by the Device OS team runs on all Amazon consumer electronics devices. The Device OS team also develops Amazon Common Software (ACS) (, a solution that makes it faster to develop devices that are transforming the smart home and run Amazon services like Alexa!


· Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
· 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
· 5+ years of technical program management experience


Preferred qualifications:
· Master's degree or advanced technical degree
· Creative leader with superior analytical abilities
· 7+ years of relevant work experience in technical program/project management in a consumer electronics environment
· Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets
· Experience analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection
· Product development experience (including experience as a developer in embedded software/middleware, C/C++, Linux/RTOS)
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
· Cross-team coordination and executive presentation skills
