Job ID: 1854941 | Services LLC

Job summary
Alexa Shopping Design innovates at the intersection of AI and retail shopping. We envision Alexa as a helpful shopping assistant for busy customers and their households, always there to support their shopping needs from product discover and inspiration to ensuring they never run out of household essentials. We seek to unlock Alexa’s full potential by designing thoughtful and intuitive voice, multimodal and mobile experiences that millions of customers love to use every day by enabling them to easily and quickly complete their shopping wherever they prefer. We are a passionate group of designers, creatives, researchers, and CX PMs working together to bring Amazon’s Alexa shopping vision to life — across devices, Amazon desktop and mobile, in-stores, in all countries where Alexa is available.

Alexa Shopping Design seeks a UX Researcher to define and drive the future of shopping at Amazon. In this role, you will work with voice and graphic interfaces in a fast-paced environment. From inception through launch, you will be a research owner, responsible for delivering customer insights, and communicating with partners to iterate and improve, translating customer needs and constraints into simple, intuitive, customer-focused solutions. You will define approach and execution, and drive that vision into solid research deliverables such as written reports, presentations, customer mental models, and other impactful artifacts. You will collaborate closely with design, engineering, product management, and marketing both inside our organization, and with partner teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience with early-stage product development, and be passionate, focused, and relentless. If you have drive to innovate across modes of UI and existing and emerging devices, join us in developing the next generation of Alexa experiences.

Note on Location: Our team works remotely right now and will adopt a hybrid of in-office and at-home once Amazon welcomes employees back in-office fully. We are open to this role being located in Seattle, WA; Santa Clara, CA; or Arlington, VA.
