Job summary
The Customer Service Worldwide Defect Elimination (WWDE) organization drives Amazon towards providing excellent customer experiences by reducing defective products and purchasing experiences. We build strategic technology and services used by multiple Amazon groups that rapidly identifies defects, resolves the cause, and prioritizes the multitude of improvement opportunities based on business and customer needs. To expand and innovate the CS Andon Cord mechanism, WWDE is seeking a passionate, customer obsessed, Sr. Product Manager, Tech (PMT).

Key job responsibilities
The Andon Cord Sr. Technical Product Manager will drive product strategy for the Andon Cord mechanism. They will lead requirements gathering, prioritization of feature development, and own driving the product metrics. They will partner with WWDE program managers, various business teams, and our data and research science team to identify, surface, and drive improvements to the Andon Cord. The ideal candidate will be able to dive deep and apply principles and products that will form an exciting roadmap.

Product management at Amazon is inherently cross-functional. The right candidate needs to be an owner of their portfolio; making strategic product decisions grounded in data. They will work closely with business teams, leaders, engineering teams, and scientists and business intelligence analysts in an agile development environment to launch new features and experiences. Other key responsibilities include monitoring the execution of the project, providing project progress to stakeholders, and ensuring appropriate levels of product quality and performance.


5+ years of Product Management experience with direct product ownership.
3 years working at a technology company focused on customer experience with a large number of users.
Bachelors degree.


Demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features.
Demonstrated skills in developing product roadmaps and functional specifications, launching new products, conducting customer research, and informing user testing.
Experience working directly with Engineers in an Agile development environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units.
Excellent organizational and presentation skills with the ability to successfully interact and influence across functions at all levels of an organization and with customers.
Demonstrated track record of strong written and verbal communication to gain buy-in for product direction and crisply communicate product status updates.
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems, showing a track record of making business decisions using relevant data and insights.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities.
Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels.
Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.
Prior experience working with data scientists, research scientists, and/or applied scientists.
MBA preferred.
Ability to work on a diverse team.
