Amazon is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast-paced world of Payroll operations. We are not an average retailer and this is definitely not your average payroll position reporting in through Amazon Finance Operations. We’re looking for exceptional people with outstanding communication, problem solving skills, payroll process combined with payroll system knowledge, and customer service passion.

Amazon seeks a Chinese/Mandarin Speaking Payroll Analyst with at least 4 years customer/inbound calling experience and/or US Payroll in a large customer-oriented corporate environment.

Responsibilities also include:
• Provide support and assist in resolving employee queries
• Handle customer queries through calls, chat and emails
• Handle escalation calls related to Over payment and Receivables
• Taking inbound calls for queries and making outbound calls for receivables recovery
• Process and explain manual check calculations, work with multiple stakeholder teams to understand root cause of over payment/receivable and provide details to employees
• Produce timely responses to employee inquiries
• Record inbound/outbound calls, update Simplicity with repayment plan agreed with employee.
• Work closely with GERM Operations for providing better employee experience and improve collection effectiveness
• Serve as primary back up for our GERM China counterpart while having GERM US as a primary task

Key job responsibilities
• Have a good understanding of US Payroll
• Analyze and compute for over payments
• Know the basics of US Payroll
• Handle phone calls both Inbound and Outbound
• Coordinate with other business unit to resolve employee inquiry
• Serve as main support/back up for GERM China process

A day in the life
• Majority of the task is doing inbound and outbound phone calls to Amazon employees
• Collect for over payments via outbound call
• Receive and assist employee calls coming from inbound
• Explain the over payment to the employees
• Secure payment or commitment to pay from the employees
• Coordinate with them and other business unit via available communication tools (email, chime, phone etc)


• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Payroll or Accounting knowledge
• Flexible to work in shifts
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must be knowledgeable to converse in Chinese/Mandarin on a business level fluency


• Prior experience in inbound calling/customer support
• Knowledge on US Payroll/Taxes is preferred
• Strong problem solving and review skill
