Position Title: Solutions Architect III
Location: Houston, Texas
Technical advisor/strategist who partners with customers, AWS Sales and other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. Drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. Help organizations understand best practices around developing advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. Shape and execute strategies to build mindshare and broad use of AWS within enterprise customers. Assist with the overall technology strategy and provide prescriptive guidance to the architecture and development teams for architecting and developing new and existing solutions on top of the AWS Cloud platform.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Database Administrator, Support Engineer, Systems Engineer or another related occupation. Employer will accept four years of experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the bachelor's and two years of experience. Must have two years of experience in the following skill(s): designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications; architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on-premises virtualized environments using C++, Perl, Python, or Java; experience with infrastructure architecture, database architecture and performance tuning in the public cloud to meet business requirements in complex environments; experience with PB-scale data or storage engineering architecture in the public cloud; and experience with Energy industry.
