Job summary
Shopbop's Warehouse Fulfillment Team (WFT), is looking for experienced software engineers who want to build the next generation of systems our customers will rely on for tracking, receiving, and returning products. As an Amazon subsidiary, we work daily to leverage and influence the latest Amazon and AWS technologies. Our engineers develop software across the full stack, impacting thousands of customers daily.

As an SDE at Shopbop/Amazon, you'll work with a world-class team on world-class technology. You will develop full-stack and backend services primarily using React and Java, design architecture, and work with your team to deliver solutions that provide real benefit to customers. You should be comfortable deep-diving technical challenges with teammates and brainstorming with stakeholders to shape solutions and requirements. You will influence and integrate with Amazon Transportation systems in one of the world's most advanced supply chains.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
· Programming experience with at least one software programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with AWS Web Services such as: DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, RDS, EC2
· Experience with modern web technology like: React, JS, HTML, CSS
· Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
· Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
· Experience designing and developing a service-oriented architecture
· Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
