Join us at the cutting edge of Amazon's sustainability initiatives to work on emerging sustainability data and reporting requirements and support Amazon's long term worldwide sustainability strategy.

The WWS Transparency, Partnerships & Engagement team is looking for a results-oriented and collaborative leader to lead Amazon’s global ESG reporting. The leader in this role will reimagine our sustainability report and related content, working across teams of experts at Amazon to drive a next-generation ESG reporting plan, including worldwide and country-level voluntary and regulatory reporting obligations. This is a high-impact role that requires a solid understanding of the ESG landscape and implications for Amazon’s business and societal impact.

To do well in this role, the candidate must be able to confidently handle complex projects and provide guidance in situations of high ambiguity. The candidate must show good judgment and continually improve their level of knowledge about Amazon’s business, our platform, and relevant technologies.

**Please note that this role can be based within 50 miles of any US Corporate location (e.g., Seattle, WA; Arlington, VA; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Cupertino, CA, Nashville, TN).

Key job responsibilities
• Build a next-generation global ESG reporting plan to drive greater transparency and trust with Amazon’s customers.
• Build and drive a customer-centric, enterprise-wide roadmap for Amazon’s ESG transparency and reporting along the glidepath to the upcoming ESG reporting compliance obligations.
• Lead country-level reporting and external engagement, in line with global/country regulations and related requirements, in partnership with local leadership, Finance and Accounting teams.
• Facilitate meetings with all levels of Amazon management and external stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 10+ years of experience working in sustainability, ESG, legal or public policy fields.
• Proven track record leading global projects with high levels of complexity.
• Strong written and oral communicator.
• Experience building teams and managing people.
• Experience managing vendors.
• Ability to take ownership, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to apply strategic thinking and demonstrate understanding of requirements to execute.
• Allocate and manage budgets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience analyzing legislative proposals and building compliance and outreach plans.
• Experience coordinating large projects across a large number of stakeholders with differing interests.
• Ability to deliver in ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment.
• Demonstrates bias for action to ensure teams meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Works effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Team player who effectively integrates, motivates and builds relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
