Job summary
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will develop a magical and useful consumer product. Our team specializes in inventing new products using advanced sensing, display, and machine learning technologies. This role is on a new cross-functional team with the impact, autonomy, flexibility, and speed of innovation of a high-growth startup, powered by the resources of Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

  • Take on the most challenging, ambiguous program management assignments and handle them with autonomy and high visibility.
  • Work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define strategy and requirements.
  • Lead cross functional development on new technology from design through delivery including requirements gathering, driving project schedules from design to release.
  • Work with cross functional and remote teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch timelines.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks, and change management.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, escalate as needed, recommend and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs and technical constraints.
  • Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with teams across the entire Amazon Devices & Services organization.

About the team
We thrive on creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning. We have a flexible WFH schedule with in-person meetings for co-located hardware reviews and development. This position requires monthly travel to San Francisco, can be based in Seattle, SF Bay, San Diego, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston, Denver or Arlington, VA, and has the flexibility to work from home the majority of the week.


  • 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.


  • The ideal candidate is creative, innovative, self-driven, and enjoys technically challenging and ambiguous problems.
  • Experience building hardware products, and integrating waterfall hardware development with agile software development.
  • Experience building deeply technical products, e.g. AI/ML, robotics, games
  • Advanced degree (Ph.D., or M.S.) in a relevant technical field
