As a member of this team you will have the opportunity to drive growth and shape the customer acquisition model within AWS while having a significant impact on customers’ global computing model. The Manager, Migration Workloads Customer Acquisition Team role is responsible for building and managing a team focused on expanding sales for AWS Migration Workloads services such as Windows Server, SQL Server, .NET, SAP and VMware Cloud on AWS into our existing customer base or into net new customers. The role is part of the AWS Worldwide Specialist Sales Organization.

As part of the Customer Acquisition Team, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of Go-to-Market Specialists and Sales Specialists that will generate and develop pipeline and advance customer opportunities within their assigned regions/territories while defining and building the strategy for the team’s long-term success and growth. You will be a self-starter and willing to operate both tactically and strategically. You will have a proven track record and background in managing high performing teams and you are able to deliver results while ensuring that the team works effectively across teams including AWS Demand Generation, Inside Sales and Account Managers, Solution Architects and Marketing. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about the business, product and technical challenges and be skilled at working cross-organizationally to build consensus. You and your team will be responsible for achieving targets related to pipeline generation, opportunity advancement, building customer business cases, delivering successful POCs and generating won opportunities in new accounts.

Key job responsibilities
• Build and manage a team of high-performing GTM and sales specialists
• Own and develop relationships with field stakeholders to communicate team coverage and support plans and adapt to field priorities and requests as able
• Drive the strategic direction, annual goals and priorities of the team based on evolving market conditions and ongoing learnings from execution; make recommendations for future resourcing allocations and team deployment model
• Dive in to understand the details of execution to build a scalable long-term model for team execution
• Plan and execute key sales planning tasks such as territory planning, quota setting, performance management and ongoing productivity reviews
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal senior stakeholders
• Communicate lessons learned, service recommendations and best practices to Data leadership and service team members to continuously improve service and program offerings in alignment with customer requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years technology business development, inside sales, demand generation, sales or channel management experience
  • Experience building and managing a team of sales, business development or customer-facing employees
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • College/University Degree or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven track record of building high performing teams
• Demonstrated ability to hire and develop talent
• Strong process and operational management skills - ability to drive scale, consistency and efficiency through the disciplined use of systems and processes
• Experience working with complex and strategic IT solutions, ideally in the IT infrastructure space or working with technologies such as Windows Server, SQL Server, VMware SAP or Azure experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Licensing, including License Mobility and Volume Licensing (such as EA)
• Experience with data center migrations
• Ability to develop and execute strategic account and territory plans
• Fast learner with a knack for learning and understanding new technology solutions and developing compelling value propositions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and specifically Excel
• Experience using Salesforce.com CRM systems
• Experience working with partners to drive scaling campaigns
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certified
• Microsoft Office – Excel professional certification
• Working knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or Amazon Quicksight
• MSc or MBA

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $162,700- 191,400/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. The pay range for this position in Jersey City is $179,000 - $242,200/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Pay Transparency Regulation of Jersey City Municipal Code. Base pay information is based on market location.
