We are looking for a Sr. UX researcher to join our growing Alexa Health team. In this role you will work with voice and graphic interfaces (VUI/GUI) in a fast-paced environment. From inception through launch, you will be a research owner, responsible for delivering customer insights, and communicating with partners to iterate and improve, translating customer needs and constraints into simple, intuitive, customer-focused solutions. You will define approach and execution, and drive that vision into solid research deliverables, such as written reports, presentations, customer mental models, personas and other impactful artifacts.
You will collaborate closely with a world-class, multi-disciplinary team of design, product, and engineering professionals to develop cutting edge, customer focused experiences to help people live longer, healthier lives. Key job responsibilities
* Work closely with the design and product management teams throughout the development lifecycle to define, measure and communicate UX research findings and guidelines around the various customer experience solutions evaluated, maintaining a high bar for execution.
* End-to-end ownership with all aspects of the UX research lifecycle (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating).
* Hands-on work with: user testing, remote testing, low-fidelity prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept evaluation, field research, and survey design.
* Contribute to the group’s best practices for UX research while continually advocating research thinking, process, and craft throughout our organization.
* Communicate complex concepts and findings clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
* Champion customer advocacy and integrate UX research into the product development process.

About the team
You will be joining a team of design, product, program, and engineering professionals focused on elevating Alexa Health experiences to help customers make informed decisions for themselves and their loved ones as they navigate their health and wellness journeys. Help us re-imagine the best-in-class voice/multimodal experiences for integrated, seamless healthcare engagements.


* 3+ years of success conducting user research in a growing software development setting, or equivalent.
* A portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g.: study plans, reports, and data visualizations).
* Experience conducting research throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
* Experience in all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting).
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate research outputs clearly across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
* Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects of significant scope and high complexity.
* Exceptional behavioral data-collection and analysis skills, (e.g., designing, conducting, and analyzing all kinds of user data).
* Strong grasp of qualitative methods and data analysis.
* Ability to manage ambiguity and meet ambitious deadlines by delivering high-quality work on schedule, including quickly turning around study plans and reports.
* Demonstrated thought-leadership with a passion for translating data into action.
* Experience defining and driving creative solutions in new/ambiguous product territory.
* Eagerness to continually learn, grow and improve the craft of research.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $152,200-$205,900; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
