Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA) is a managed orchestration service for Apache Airflow that makes it easier to set up and operate end-to-end data pipelines in the cloud at scale. We are looking for a software development engineer to drive feature development for Amazon MWAA. You will help define the technical direction, build/improve core MWAA components, and produce high quality design/code. You will also drive operational excellence of a large-scale AWS service.

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying distributed systems using AWS Services.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.
