Amazon Web Services, the leader in cloud computing, is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help define and drive its strategy for quantum computing. Our goal is to create the easiest and most engaging way for customers to explore quantum computing.

You will drive Amazon’s Working Backward process to identify customer requirements, define the features they need, and then work with our engineers, scientists, and partners to execute and deliver a compelling product.

This role requires an individual who can balance feedback from customers and partners with an understanding of what is possible today and might be possible in the future and then work with our internal teams to prioritize, build a roadmap and execute the launch.

On this team you will wear many hats, work smart, and iterate quickly. Successful candidates will have experience defining products, influencing cross-functional teams, and communicating with a large number of stakeholders, including external customers through high quality written documents. You will have strong scientific or technology background, an MBA or equivalent experience, and demonstrated ability to learn in both the technical and business spheres.

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science or related field

5+ Years of Product Management in a technology-focused business


Masters Degree in a technical field such as mathematics, physics, engineering or computer science

MBA or equivalent experience

Background in quantum technologies and/or quantum programming languages. Experience delivering quantum or related products is a plus.

Prior experience in quantum computing or related industry managing technical products or online services, including proficiency with web services, online technology, and compute services

Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams such as engineering, pre-sales, science etc., to drive product vision

Entrepreneurial spirit with track record for delivering results in fast-moving, highly ambiguous technology areas

History of developing business strategy in conjunction with senior leadership

Excellent written and oral communications skills, including experience communicating to executives.

Experience communicating with external stakeholders and customers
