Job summary

AWS Security Assurance makes it easier to show our high standards to auditors and regulators. The goal of this role is to maintain AWS's rapid innovation by making it easier to demonstrate these standards. We have built a new team to lead this work, if you are passionate about building tools to increase the velocity of innovation and security, this may be the role for you.

This technical leader will:

  • Establish the structure, and hiring priorities for their team
  • Implement the team’s processes and practices within a broader Security Assurance development environment
  • Establish mechanisms for delivery, operational excellence, and reporting

· 5+ years of relevant engineering experience building and maintaining large-scale and mission-critical online services
· 3+ years of experience, managing engineers and managers
· Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
· 3+ years of experience leading high performance teams of senior engineers and managers
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)


· Experience building tools for software engineers
· Experience enabling security controls and working with regulators and/or security auditors
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
