Amazon, one of the world's leaders in e-commerce is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to shape the future of our 3rd party marketplace.
The PM role offers the unique opportunity to influence a sizable portion of the business while also driving large scale, high visibility projects across different Amazon teams. The successful candidate will be a strong project manager with deep analytical abilities, and will ideally over-index in ownership, bias for action, deep dive, invent and simplify, and deliver results leadership competencies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and possess a passion for retail, a high level of flexibility, and ability to prioritize.
The breadth and depth of experience gained in this role will equip the candidate to rotate into other roles across Amazon on their path to become among Amazon future leaders. The Program Manager will have several key responsibilities within the 3rd party Marketplace side of the business, including but not limited to:
• Technical project management: Automate and scale the category level growth via new selection, product listing quality and instock opportunities. Partner with other teams to drive automation and scalability across the organization.
• Maintain category's on-going reviews: own category's weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews via establishing a tracking mechanism to enable the team to track their progress while recommend best track of action to grow/recover
• Define and build the category's growth programs: Identify key business opportunities and building blocks to grow the category
• Category/3P project management: Work within the marketplace org to establish and execute a 3P level projects/programs.
The successful Program Manager must be able to:
Act as the ‘business owner’ for their business growth programs, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the category, along with responsibility for driving strategic projects to achieve business objectives)
• Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to deliver site features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience
• Create business programs and initiatives for new opportunities owning the development and execution
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines for high visibility projects
• Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenues targets.

. Define goals for the program in line with the program objectives, develop an execution plan to exceed them
. Ensure KPIs are published and reviewed on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and perform analysis on any behaviors / processes that could impact on data integrity
· Articulate the ability to influence without formal authority driving results from various relevant stakeholders


• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or similar)
• 5+ years working experience writing complex SQL queries to perform data analysis
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analyst, or related quantitative functions
• 5+ Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
• 2+ Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python and Excel VBA) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries to work with complex/large datasets
• Proven ability to structure complex analysis and perform the analysis to drive insights
• Proficient in visualizing data through tools like QuickSight, Tableau or similar tools
• Proven analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail, including the ability to recognize non-obvious patterns/predictors, with the ability to propose insightful hypotheses
• Experience in taking a project from scoping requirements through launch
• Experience solving business problems using statistical, machine learning, or other modeling


• Master's or higher degree in an analytical area such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering
• Previous experience and demonstrated track record in account management, Category management, product marketing, or management consulting roles.
• E-Commerce, Retail experience preferred
• Experience working closely with product and tech teams developing large scale data products
• Demonstrated analytical skill in prediction, data validation, and optimization problems
• Experience in theory and practice of Design of Experiments and statistical analysis of results
