We are hiring an accomplished Senior Storage Specialist focused on File Services to lead engagements with our Builder communities (AI/ML, Containers, HPC). This role operates at the intersection of the service team and the field to work with our specialists’ teams to grow and scale our File Services business by identifying key workloads, engaging with customers, creating and orchestrating “at-scale” programs, and helping shape the direction of our file services.
The role would focus on scaling file services in our builder segments (AI/ML, Containers, Serverless, Line of Business Workflows). The WW Go-To-Market Specialist will assist our teams by creating and orchestrating “at scale” programs, initiatives, research that GTM focus, and enablement for our WW sales and cross functional customer teams.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Setting strategic program direction, as well as oversee tactical execution, of insight-based programs and go-to-market activities with a focus on expanding AWS market share in our top key pursuit accounts, segments, and verticals within the private sector
- Drive revenue, develop programs and identify new markets and opportunities. You would work directly with the most interesting and demanding customers to understand their requirements and turn them into reality
- Partner with AWS services and industry teams to identify workloads that impact our File Storage services specific to builders in segments like AI/ML, Containers, HPC, and industry verticals (Life Sciences, FinServ, M&E).
- Map the application of technology to customer business scenarios that help our customers understand how to improve their operational outcomes through the use of AWS storage services.
- Use excellent verbal and written communication skills to build sales enablement tools, evangelize our platform with our enterprise and mid-market customers as well as our valued partners and serve as the primary Executive Briefing Center representative of the storage business.
- Act as a trusted business advisor while deep diving into data, creating high impact programs, and tracking progress while tuning for desired results.
- Be a leader by guiding cross functional teams to drive AWS adoption in the key workloads that use the AWS Storage portfolio
- Define, drive, measure, manage, and coach on workload focused goals across the business.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CxO / VP level, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with IT operations leaders, software developers, and infrastructure and applications architects. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work across the business to set vision, objectives and to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and desire to dive deep is a must.
Key job responsibilities
- Working with customers to identify scaling use cases across vertical and technical teams
- Developing scaling initiatives that drive consumption of the File Services in the builder communities
- Working with the File Services General manager and Product Managers to review the health of the business by providing the voice of the field
- Working with WW field teams to uncover blockers, issues, challenges
- Speaking at industry events, trade shows, re:Invent as a Subject Matter Expert on File Storage
- Building the annual GTM plan with key objectives, initiatives and goals that rolls up to Leadership.
A day in the life
A day in the life of a File Service GTM Specialists is never the same. It about being at the front of trends and building expertise to scale or remove blockers. You could be enabling partners to sell your use cases, working with customers (Startups to Digital Native) giving overviews or interviews on how they are using the product, it could be working through complex pricing models to drive adoption and lastly working with service teams to influence the future direction of the product.
About the team
The Storage team operates in the broader AWS Specialists Teams under the Core Services group (Compute, Containers, Networking, Storage) as part of the world-wide specialists organization. We have a high bar on creating customer solutions and operate as OneTeam.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree

- MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
