Social Media & Editorial Program Manager, Goodreads
DESCRIPTION
Goodreads is looking for a Program Manager to own our organic social media strategy, managing a calendar of compelling social content, and increasing growth based on analysis of results, as well as supporting editorial content marketing. In this role, you’ll help readers discover more books they love and foster community with millions of readers across social media and editorial content.
A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of social media and editorial content, with a proven-track record of planning, delivering and reporting on a range of social media campaigns across various social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. They should be a highly organized and goal-oriented creative thinker, multi-tasker, problem solver, and enjoy working in a fast-paced culture.
Key job responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of social media content that delivers measurable uplift against our key goals. This includes working with design to develop social content concepts, writing copy, and overseeing asset creation.
* Program manage email and onsite ad campaigns to promote our editorial content including owning coordination of assignments with internal teams, designers, and freelancers.
* Provide thought leadership and guidance for social media best practices such as content publishing guidelines, KPI benchmarks, and channel growth strategies across our organization.
* Proactively manage social media reporting, managing analytics dashboards and creating weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on performance.
* Keep a keen eye on bookish and customer trends that offer opportunities for Goodreads content.
A day in the life
You will work closely with the editorial, design, marketing, and ads teams to create, manage and optimize social media and marketing strategies that expand how Goodreads connects with readers. As part of this, you will partner with the Amazon Books social media team to share insights, identify new opportunities, and establish best practices across brands. You will work closely with the Goodreads Editorial team on their content plans and how to turn that content into social posts, emails, and ads. We are passionate about books and love keeping up with all the reading trends that spark ideas for our collective work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- 3+ years of experience in Social Media Marketing for consumer-facing brands
- 3+ years of copywriting skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience utilizing Sprinklr for social media reporting.
- Basic HTML proficiency.
- Experience with editorial content creation and headline writing.
- Experience building an engaging brand presence on TikTok.
- Experience building and executing email and onsite ad campaigns.
- Experience meeting deadlines and keeping track of multiple assignments without direct oversight, including experience with owning content calendars.
- Experience with social listening reporting.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
