Our Global Partner Accelerated Development team is expanding and we are looking for Partner Development Managers to help us grow our partner community! Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for world class candidates to help define and deliver our partner onboarding and acceleration activities for Public Sector Partners. As a Partner Development Manager, you will work to define, operationalize, and execute a strategy to onboard and develop new Public Sector Partners across the APJ region via our AWS Distribution Channel. The AWS Partner Network (APN) includes tens of thousands of services, software, distributors, and value-added reseller partners that are using AWS as their cloud delivery platform around the world. You will have the opportunity to work with local distributors to help them learn how to accelerate the development of strategic public sector AWS partners. AWS defines public sector as all levels of Government, Education, Healthcare, Regulated Industries, and Nonprofit market segments.

Key job responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for educating Distribution teams to develop high quality partners which will support Public Sector customer missions leveraging a proven framework. You will lead communication efforts to senior managers and directors within the AWS Partner organization and interact externally with distributors to evangelize the AWS Partner Network. The ideal candidate will possess strong channel experience and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The ability to identify, prioritize, and establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential. Leveraging data and instincts, you will ensure that partners and distributors receive relevant guidance and resources in a timely manner. You will have a deep sense of ownership and project management skills to simplify and scale our partner development capabilities via Distribution partners. You should have a demonstrated capability to think strategically about business outcomes, and the ability to create and convey compelling value propositions using data. Success criteria for this position will be metrics driven and require contributing to the build out of a scalable process to enable distribution partners to onboard and develop AWS Public Sector Partners.

• BA/BS degree or equivalent
• 5+ years experience with strong track record of account management, partner development, distribution, or related customer relationship experience
• 5+ years of experience operating within an indirect sales structure supporting channel and partner organizations in Public Sector
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technology and consumption-based pricing models
• Proficiency using software platforms such as, Tableau, Microsoft Outlook, Smartsheets, or other project management tools to create reports from various data sources
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional internal and external audiences
• Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
• Affinity for complex and creative problem solving and the desire to invent and simplify existing processes
