Amazon’s Finance Operations Payroll team has an immediate opening for a seasoned Operational Excellence whose experience illustrates a clear ability to support implementation of global process improvement along with technologies and services to meet long term business needs.
This OE role is self-driven, and goal oriented with a focus in delivering a technology driven business solution that meets the customers need. We are a fun and diverse team with members in several different countries. We are involved in various global projects, processes, systems, and teams to identify opportunity areas for improvement through technology initiative. This is a mix of quantitative and leadership skills to identify process improvement & technology related opportunities and bring them to logical closure by applying stable and scalable solutions.

Key job responsibilities
The OE Automations Consultant has to drive the culture of Engaging with Business Owners, Do Process inspection and identify areas of improvement where acting on fact and eliminating defects and waste is the norm.
Engagement with Business Owners and review the opportunity area to eliminate defect, reduce trouble ticket, enhance controllership and simplify and fast track the process
Identify ways of introducing technology based solution through Office product Macros, Query Engines, Sharepoint and other Workflows, Power BI QuickSight or other Data Visualization tool experience, Working knowledge of Alteryx workflows, Apps, macros and Server environment. Working knowledge of Python, SQL or other programming languages.
Develop and Test the technology solution
Deploy and observe the performance of the technology solution
Provide User and Technical Documentation for future reference and enhancement
Review existing Small and medium technology solution for their accuracy and sustenance
Provide break fix and small enhancement to existing solution
Enable business to drive technology solution by providing technical guidance and support
Following up to get the actions completed

A day in the life
In this role, you will work very closely with SSA teams that will be responsible for developing complex automation solutions using a variety of methods in support of other automation initiatives. Collaborate with the end users as well as team members in design, development, testing and deployment of automation projects within Payroll space. Utilize process automation best practices to ensure SSA solutions meet business requirements. The candidate will consult on multiple automation projects and ensure delivery within the given timeline.

Payroll Transformation team enables global Payroll operations, support teams and Payroll partner teams in delivering Perfect Pay experience to our customers (employees). We have a team of Program Delivery experts, Project Managers, Change and Portfolio Managers, Lean Six Sigma Black Belts, Business Analysts and Technology experts to enable our customers. We ensure that our customer requests are addressed in time and right methods are used to deliver best in class technology enabled processes. Our aim is to provide sustainable solutions that strengthen payroll growth and deliver a bar raising customer experience.

- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting


- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
