The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) works backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. As a leader on the Strategic Industries, Automotive & Manufacturing team, you will lead a senior team of Advanced Compute solutions architects across the globe that translates our customer’s strategic goals into a technical roadmap for success, creating repeatable motions for our organization in partnership with the technical business development team. Your team will work closely with internal product teams, informing AWS’ product roadmap and building the features of the future.

Key job responsibilities
• Manage a team of Specialist Solutions Architects for Auto/Mfg – Advanced Compute.
• Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as developers and technical architects, to develop pipeline, partner with strategic auto/mfg customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
• Develop and deploy sales motions and programs that leverage AWS Field Sales teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.
• Collaborate with the Service and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, release plan, etc.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications
- 7+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
- 10+ years’ experience leading high performance teams in a matrixed environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to perform in complex, global, matrixed organizations. C-Suite presentation and engagement experience desired
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
- Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Demonstrated presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
- High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
- Demonstrated written communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
