The Prime Video (PV) Global Brand & Digital Intelligence team is hiring a passionate and solution oriented Sr. Data Scientist to build new scientific approaches to evaluate and strengthen the overall health of the PV brand and digital presence globally.

You are a strategic-minded professional with a proven track record of using machine learning and statistical approaches to drive business outcomes. You will be expected to work on numerous aspects of Machine Learning such as feature engineering, predictive modeling, probabilistic modeling, hyper-parameter tuning, scalable inference methods and reinforcement learning.

Key job responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative data and machine learning solutions to accelerate our business.
- Proactively and independently work with stakeholders to construct use cases and associated standardized outputs
- Operationalize creation of reports across multiple large data sources to inform ongoing business reviews
- Actively manage the timeline and deliverables of projects
- Participate in regular leadership meetings and communicate roadblocks to stakeholders and propose solutions
- Collaborate with other team leads to set the vision for the organization’s Data Science capability
- Create and run experiments as needed to evaluate the impact of potential changes to in-app branding
- Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations adapted to technical, business, and executive stakeholder

The PV Global Brand & Digital Intelligence team drives global PV brand strategy decision-making by deeply understanding how audiences perceive the Prime Video service and which levers are most influential in driving brand love. We work closely with teams responsible for planning and executing strategies to drive the future of the PV brand. As part of the broader PV organization, you will have the opportunity to partner with and learn from a strong community of data scientists, economists, software developers and more.

- Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science, or Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of professional or military experience
- 6+ years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication experience
- 6+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
- 2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience
- Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts
- Experience managing data pipelines
- Experience working with social and brand tracking data
- Experience documenting modeling for technical and business leaders


- Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
- Experience working with market researchers, scientists, economists, software developers, or product managers
- Prior experience working in the entertainment industry
- Prior experience working in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment
- Prior experience working in both the US and internationally or in a global function

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
