As Amazon Ads continues to grow, a key part of our strategy is engaging with the broader advertising industry to influence industry standards alongside our peers, strengthen relationships with customers, and amplify key messages through events and content. Amazon Ads is seeking a seasoned general marketer with broad expertise. This role will lead various marketing initiatives, bringing increased focus and deeper engagement with partners, building strong internal and external relationships, developing a deep understanding of Amazon Ads goals and priorities and working with partners to maximize opportunities to achieve those goals. This person will determine which partners we engage with and how, overseeing those engagements (events, content, etc), and optimizing based on learnings. This is a highly complex, ambiguous role, where you’ll both serve as the face of Amazon Ads externally while also navigating internal stakeholders, needing to simultaneously flex having backbone and earning trust. The ideal candidate has marketing experience working in the advertising industry.

Key job responsibilities
* Develop and hone our overall strategy, determining who we partner with, in what capacity, and managing important relationships
* Serve as internal strategy lead, advising senior marketing and sales leaders on the rationale for our ’24 and ‘25 strategy and refining plans over time as we get feedback and results
* Review plans and content for third party event mainstages and provide feedback to up-level strategy, storytelling, and design
* Define KPIs and continually review data and anecdotes, providing leadership with updates on progress and learnings and how we’re optimizing plans as a result
* Mechanize ways of working with internal and external partners

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
