Program Manager, Data Privacy, RBKS AI Data Management
DESCRIPTION
The Ring, Blink, Key and Sidewalk (RBKS) AI Data Management team is seeking an experienced L5 Program Manager to lead and deliver the highest priority data privacy initiatives across our globally-distributed data delivery ecosystem. As the Data Privacy Program Manager, you will collaborate closely with our Applied Science, Data Services, Legal, and Compliance teams to plan and coordinate the execution of complex data privacy programs and policies. Program Managers at this level must excel at sorting through ambiguous, competing priorities, defining streamlined processes that improve execution, championing privacy best practices, and succeeding in a fast-paced, complex environment. As a PM, you will have complete autonomy to tackle intrinsically hard problems, drive organizational alignment, and deliver solutions with significant, long-term impact on the business.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex, mission-critical data privacy initiatives for the Ring AI data management program
• Define and drive the long-term data privacy strategy for the organization, ensuring alignment with evolving regulations and best practices

• Decompose complex privacy challenges into streamlined, efficient solutions that can be scaled across the business
• Communicate complex privacy decisions, trade-offs, and strategies effectively to senior leadership (Director level and above)
• Foster consensus and alignment across teams to drive coherent privacy approaches
• Actively mentor and develop more junior Program Managers within the organization
A day in the life
As the Data Privacy Program Manager in our team, your day-to-day involves wearing many hats and collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders to drive the organization's data privacy strategy and initiatives.
You'll start your day by reviewing the latest updates and progress on your ongoing data privacy programs. This could involve checking in with your team on the status of your data privacy audit framework rollout, any emerging regulatory changes that need to be addressed, or the latest feedback from Applied Science teams on privacy constraints for new AI model development.
You'll then likely have a series of meetings - some tactical, others more strategic. On the tactical side, you may huddle with your Legal and Compliance partners to finalize the approval process for a new customer data use case. You'll need to ensure all the necessary documentation, risk assessments, and signoffs are in place before greenlighting the project.
Moving to more strategic discussions, you may join a meeting with senior leaders (potentially Director-level and above) to present your long-term data privacy roadmap. This is where you'll need to showcase your business acumen and communication skills, clearly articulating the privacy vision, key initiatives, and their impact on the organization.
In the afternoon, you may shift gears to work on a new, ambiguous data privacy challenge. This could involve decomposing a particularly thorny issue, like the privacy implications of using customer data for a feature, and mapping out a phased plan to address it. You'll need to draw upon your strong problem-solving abilities, technical acumen, and ability to work in a highly autonomous fashion.
No two days are exactly the same, but this captures some of the key activities you'd likely find yourself engaged in as the Data Privacy Program Manager. The common thread is your ability to seamlessly transition between tactical execution, strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship - all while maintaining a relentless focus on protecting customer data and enabling the business to innovate responsibly.
