We are looking for a Training Specialist to join the Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering (RME) Technical Learning Team. We have developed and continue to develop technical courses, skills-based training, practical exercises and assessments for our teams who maintain availability and reliability within our Fulfillment, Transportation, and Global Specialty Operations (GSO) centers. We have adopted a blended approach mixing both instructor-led, web-based and skills-based (practical hands on) methods of delivery.

The successful candidate will be organized and detail-oriented with the ability translate data for business decision-making. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in partnering with business owners to understand requirements and develop supporting analysis to solve business problems.

The primary responsibilities for the Training Specialist include:
· Maintaining accurate training attendance records in our LMS and the Learning Dashboard reporting tool
· Creating and maintaining customized and accurate training reports using our Learning Management System (LMS)
· Managing the Technical Learning Budget to include coordination with leadership, supporting Finance teams and vendors with a frugality mindset
· Supporting the LMS Training Specialist to create assessments and evaluations to track the effectiveness of RME Training Programs/Initiatives
· Coordinating with the Centralized LMS team and the Data Engineering group to ensure accuracy in reporting
· Coordinating external training suppliers and fulfillment centers for equipment-specific training
· Reviewing training feedback to identify areas for continued improvement


· Bachelor degree or 2+ years of Amazon Experience
· Experience in partnering with business owners to understand requirements and develop supporting analysis to solve business problems.
· Passion for learning and development
· At least one year of Dashboard (metric measurement presentation) creation and management
· At least one year of budgetary oversight/management
· Desire to cross-train to all functional areas within department
· Ability to travel up to 25%


· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related discipline
· Experience developing and supporting training team functions at the network-level
· Advanced Microsoft Excel and presentation development skills
· Experience with reporting dashboards and other metric presentation tools
· Ability to process large data sets from multiple data sources
· Ability to learn BI tools as the industry evolves
· Experience in using SQL to analyze data in a database or data warehouse and be able to use a major programming (e.g. Java/C/Python) and or scripting language (Perl, Unix shell) to process data for modeling
· At least one year of supporting project management work including planning work, managing details, coordinating and keeping multiple tasks/projects on track and delivering reliable results
