Sr. Product Manager – Amazon Business Verticals Expansion

Amazon Business is dedicated to serving the needs of business customers and we are focused on building the largest and most innovative Business-to-Business (B2B) marketplace in the world. We are recruiting a handful of the best and brightest to make this vision a reality.

Amazon Business is looking to enter various verticals such as healthcare, public sector and education. Our mission is to make Amazon Business the preferred shopping destination for these customers. We seek to understand the specific needs of these customers, vendors, and sellers in order to deliver innovative solutions to serve their needs. We are looking for a talented product manager to build our offerings to these customers. You will define the needs and requirements of these customers and will work with our product management team to deliver. You will also work directly with our category teams to ensure we have the right selection for our customers.

Key Business Operations job functions are:
· Define and prioritize various customer types
· Build the strategy for various customer bases
· Identify the right feature set for various customer types and work with relevant technology teams to build the required feature set
· Create and drive the execution of a detailed project strategy from concept to launch and continue to drive growth strategy in the domain
· Formulate and deliver Marketing and Sales strategies
· Identify opportunities for Amazon Business to innovate the shopping experience for these customers
· Partner with technical teams in building solutions targeting the purchase experience
· Liaise with Legal & Compliance
· Develop relationships with relevant trade groups and associations and advise AB leadership on risks and opportunities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree
· 5+ years in a product/program management or operations role in a relevant industry
· Expert with business applications such as Word, Excel and Project with excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ability to prioritize and understand constraints in both customer and Amazon terms
· Ability to establish credibility and work with key internal partners to get things done
· Highly articulate, persuasive communicator and a good writer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Prior B2B Experience/Negotiation or Business Process Management Experience Preferred
· Attested history of building business requirements and requests for proposal
· Strong problem solving, highly analytical, attention to detail and solid organizational skills
· Prior experience in growing and managing a team preferred
· MBA preferred
· Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
