The Infrastructure team provides AWS and Amazon.com with the compute, network and data center capacity that are the foundations of the retail and cloud business. We are seeking a Systems Program Manager who will support Infrastructure and AWS in its mission.

As a Systems Program Manager, you will lead and drive global initiatives that empower the Data Center Services Procurement team to operate more efficiently and effectively. This includes establishing system mechanisms that enable teams to consistently deliver against defined standards, globally; managing system standards and enhancements for global internal and external users; auditing the team’s metrics to identify and address trends or issues; and supporting the introduction of new technology that enables greater efficiencies within the procurement life cycle.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- System administration, supporting global teams in performing procurement activities
- Manage system “help desk” sessions with ownership of all issue/enhancement requests
- Innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the procurement life cycle
- Focus on day-to-day operations of the team and ensure effective execution and implementation of systems and processes
- Provide operational support to internal and external system users
- Work with global teams to implement systems and process improvements
- Utilize team metrics to identify pinch points within current processes and implement solutions to address efficiency issues
- Work closely and effectively with suppliers to improve overall performance, including the identification, communication, documentation, and closure of corrective actions and development needs
- Provide project single point of contact for project development and delivery
- Develop, manage, and report on scope and schedule to global teams and senior leadership
- Develop, manage and report on system policies and compliance
- Create and support large scale, cross company technical innovations/solutions for complex business problems
- Guide and influence people and processes in pursuit of the team’s goals and objectives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
· 3+ years’ experience working with systems to develop and improve processes
· 3+ years’ experience working in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years experience working with systems to develop and improve processes
· Experience using or implementing procurement systems
· Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, and trade compliance
· Experience building processes, project management, and release schedules
· Strong focus and attention to detail; the ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment, yet able to maintain high quality standards
· Exhibits drive for continuous improvement and demonstrated capability to lead improvement projects
· Demonstrates ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines
· Experience influencing and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization
· Strong organizational skills
· Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, including advanced Word, Excel, and Visio skills · Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to overcome obstacles and deliver results
· Experience working in or supporting procurement or supplier management teams
· Experience in data centers, construction, an infrastructure service provider or similar technology company
· Proven ability to deep dive and develop innovative ideas for process challenges
· Proven ability of adopting and utilizing technology to improve performance
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
