Wunstorf is a town and independent municipality in the Hannover region of Lower Saxony, located near the Steinhuder Meer (Lake Steinhude). The current population of Wunstorf is about 41,532.

The discovery of dinosaur tracks in nearby Munchehagen led to the construction of a large museum and dinosaur park which features 230 life-like reconstructions of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals in their original size.
