Finance Business Services
Finance Business Services (FBS) is one of the largest captive Business Service organisations on Earth. FBS delivers finance technology solutions, corporate facilities, procurement services and transactional finance to Amazon. We are international, spreading across 18 core countries in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
Finance Business Services works intensively with all Amazon businesses, including Amazon Web Services, the international consumer business, Kindle, Amazon Air, and more. We partner with internal businesses and external stakeholders, notably with Amazon's customers and vendors.
FBS adheres to rigorous quality and efficiency standards. Our Operational Excellence teams improve processes, while the Technology organisation delivers sophisticated tools that enable Amazon to report our financial results in an accurate and timely manner, scale with the growth of business, and drive efficiency gains. Our procurement team delivers savings at scale, while the Real Estate and Facilities organisation provides a world-class working environment. At the same time, FBS strives to improve the experience of our customers, employees and vendors with Amazon.
By all the above, FBS reduces Amazon’s cost base and improves free cash flow, which ultimately enables Amazon to offer the best selection to our end customers.
Finance Operations works hand-in-hand with the entire range of Amazon’s businesses – Retail, Prime, AWS, Amazon Air, to name but a few. We deliver procure-to-pay, order-to-receive, hire-to-retire, tax withholding, accounting and financial analysis – improving free cash flow (FCF), reducing defects and eliminating waste as we go. We strive to render impeccable services with the highest level of controllership at the lowest cost to Amazon. We relentlessly improve our vendors’, customers’, and employees’ experience.
Finance Technology (FinTech) builds the technology capabilities used by our Finance teams that enable Amazon’s rapid and international growth toward a $1 trillion company. We offer a rare opportunity for top talent in finance, risk and engineering to work together on one team to design and build solutions at a global, distributed and complex scale using emerging technologies. We strive to be a team where people thrive and others want to join. FinTech has five teams to explore career opportunities with: Software and Data Engineering, Strategic Design and Business Architecture, Project Management, Risk Intelligence and Business Operations.
Real Estate and Facilities
Global Real Estate and Facilities creates workplaces that foster connection, collaboration, and innovation. We strive to provide a secure, sustainable and efficient work environment to accommodate growth and inspire Amazon employees to innovate and delight customers. GREF provides solutions that address customer needs, not customer wants. Compliance is not our bar, we hold ourselves to a standard that exceeds what is required and delights customers. We are committed to consistency through Amazon’s workplace design.
