We’re looking for a Sr. Content Acquisition Manager to join our team in Brazil, with experience in podcast and/or spoken word entertainment, to identify and on-board new podcast partners, negotiate Wondery content deals, secure additional rights from existing partners, and help create and execute acquisition strategies in Brazil. The Sr. Content Acquisition Manager will be instrumental in developing Amazon Music’s relationship with publishers and content producers in the country, managing sustained contact with local actors.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of work experience in a content acquisition, licensing, and/or business development role with the ability to manage relationships with media executives from key local content providers.

Key job responsibilities
• Identify, prioritize, on-board and manage relationships with 3P content partners (radios, podcast producers, networks, etc.) to position Amazon Music as a natural home for podcasters.
• Achieve positive negotiation outcomes for Amazon and content providers for the production of Original shows, working closely with internal teams including Content, Product, Legal, Finance and Marketing.
• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
• Monitor the competitive landscape to help inform Amazon Music's strategic priorities and expansion opportunities.


• 5+ years experience in a content acquisition, licensing, or business development role.
• Ability to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A proven track record of setting and exceeding aggressive goals.
• Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
• Strong business judgment and demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically.
• BA/BS Required
• Written and speaking proficiency in Portuguese and English.


• Deep understanding of the podcast or audio entertainment landscape and associated business models.
• Experience in content acquisition within podcasts or similar. entertainment media (TV, Film, OTT, audio, etc.)
• Self-starter who is customer obsessed, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic team player.
• Ability to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Written and speaking in Spanish is a plus.
