Come build the future with us

As Amazon has expanded over the years, offering devices, cloud computing services and original media programming (among other things), the Consumer Division has continued to be the standard-bearer for Jeff’s original vision: to become Earth’s most customer-centric company. We like to think of ourselves as “Amazon Classic”. We’re the people behind Amazon’s eCommerce business. We own the technology and the customer experience for what people know as Amazon.com.

Our Software Development Managers, Technical Program Managers and Technical Product Managers own and drive the creation and development of Amazon’s products and services. For these key leadership roles we look for seasoned professionals with experience operating in distributed computing environments with large customer bases.

Customers experience our work when they are able to find what they are looking for at a great price on Amazon.com or one of our subsidiary sites (including Zappos, Woot! and others). Perhaps we make it look easy, but there’s a lot under the hood in Consumer Division. We built the technology infrastructure that supports the world’s largest online retailer and continue to innovate so that customers and sellers on our platform have a consistent, stable and trustworthy experience. Over the last two decades, Amazon has been a defining force in eCommerce and the innovations keep coming; from ordering products with your voice, to using an app to order products for delivery within an hour, to having product recommendations served up based on past shopping behavior. Consumer Division is both “Amazon Classic” and the future of shopping.

Across our Europe-based locations we hire for the following teams within the Amazon Consumer Division: International Technology, Community Shopping, Search, Amazon Music, Amazon Business Prime, Selection & Catalog, Kindle and People Technology teams.

We are looking for the following roles to come and support our teams:

-Software Development Managers are at the heart of our technology. They lead multiple or singular 2 pizza sized teams, own the system design and are responsible for the health of the technology. They own the production road map and assign the requirements to their team.

-Technical Program Managers own cross functional programs in Amazon's complex technical environment, often working across multiple teams and product road maps. They convert business requirements into detail for technical teams to implement, coordinate and report on design, development, testing and deployment. They are very technical, understanding design details and expectations for system dependencies. They are the tech team’s first point of contact for program based questions, often solving ambiguous problems.

-Technical Product Managers own the lifecycle of a technology product or a major technology feature, with considerable impact. They own the product roadmap and feature priorities, which may include contributing to organizational narratives and goals, and engineering organizational roadmaps. They define the problem(s) we are trying to solve, desired customer experience, vision, tenets, and product strategy.
