Amazon Web Services (AWS) has an exciting internship opportunity in Dubai available for a UAE national with family book. AWS are committed to contributing towards the UAE’s goal of employing 75,000 Emiratis in the private sector and Ministerial Resolution No.279.

AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Interns to join our expanding team on a 12 week full-time internship program in our Data Center in Dubai South.

As an intern, you will work in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network. You will help ensure overall availability and reliability for our customers within our Data Centers.

Amazon internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks, in Summer 2024. This position requires the intern to report to work onsite on a daily basis. Intern schedules are typically day schedules, Monday-Friday. A full-time position as a Data Center Tech could involve day, evening, or weekend shifts and on-call rotations.

Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities:
• Move and implement large enterprise equipment
• Patch cabling between equipment
• Install Fibre and Copper cabling
• Ensure proper standards are maintained for cabling and racks
• Use material handling tools and equipment in guidance of safety regulations

Physical Requirements:
· Walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch. Work at heights and from ladders.
· Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 kilograms unassisted; and participate in group lifts for 16 kilograms or more.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•In pursuit of IT Certification or Technical/Bachelors Degree within a relevant technical field such as Computer Network Engineering, Computing or similar with 2025 graduation date
• UAE National with family book

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Ability to work well with others in a team environment, displaying strong time management skills
· Familiar working in an environment that maintains the highest standards for health & safety in all aspects of operational procedure
· Can travel between sites
