"Crossroads of America"
Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana, is in the middle of the state. The greater Indianapolis area comprises the towns and smaller cities surrounding it.
Best known for its famous speedway and annual 500-mile race, Indianapolis is home to other sports and pastimes as well as the Indiana State Fair.
Even though the towns surrounding Indianapolis are in prime farming country, they still manage to play host to nature parks, shopping malls, festivals, and even a water park that operates year-round!
