The Phoenix Metropolitan Area – also known as the Valley of the Sun – is the largest metropolitan area in the southwestern United States, and includes much of the central part of Arizona.

With scant rainfall and lots of sunshine, Phoenix is a popular destination for people who enjoy the desert climate. The warm winters allow for year-round outdoor activities like hiking and biking.
