Amazon’s India technology team touches every aspect of the customer experience. Join us (in Seattle, Vancouver, Santa Monica, and Austin) as we innovate on behalf of our customers in India and expand our solutions to other emerging marketplaces across the world. As the world's fastest growing e-commerce market, India presents novel opportunities to think big, experiment, and launch global programs.


With a population of 1.4B, India has more first-time internet users than anywhere else — 6M new users every month, with 600M (46%) already connected. Most of our new customers are from smaller, hard-to-reach places across the country, but that doesn’t stop us from serving them. We continue to improve and insist on meeting our customers’ expectations when it comes to ordering and receiving packages, for both old and new customers alike.

 

India isn’t the only market with these struggles. But encountering these kinds of challenges before other markets enables us to pioneer innovative solutions that can be scaled to other impacted customers across the world. With 700 employees in North America, and 1100 more across India, we steer global solutions like assisted-shopping stations, a low-latency Amazon app, and cash-on-delivery options for our global customers.
