Our media category has been an important part of Amazon since day one. When Jeff Bezos had the first spark of inspiration for the digital online marketplace that became Amazon, it started with selling and shipping books out of his garage. Today, our physical media retail category includes not only books, but music, movies, games and software products.

Of course, we’re still innovating around how people acquire and consume media products. The marketplace continues to evolve and we are leading much of that change by developing new experiences for customers to buy, sell, rent, trade and download media of all types.  Our retail and technical teams work together to ensure we have the products customers are looking for and a variety of ways for them to get those products.

As part of Amazon’s Media retail team, you’ll help create new models that address customer needs in unexpected ways, from student-friendly textbook rentals to trade-ins for books, video games, movies and more. You’ll develop and nurture new marketplaces to support the buying, renting, selling, and reselling of physical media. You’ll foster natural consumer conversations, integrating opinions and user-created information into the shopping experience.
