Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Prime Video Japan

This role is responsible for creating best-in-class marketing campaigns on Prime Video Japan's digital storefront that drive awareness, discoverability, and streams for our video content. They will oversee the execution and optimization of all elements of their marketing campaigns (creative briefing, targeting, timing) and will leverage performance data and testing to develop recommendations and best practices. This role requires working at the strategic level - building merchandising plans, making tradeoffs, improving processes to help support our growing business - and at the tactical level - building and optimizing campaigns, analyzing data, and finding solutions to invent and simplify their workflows.

The ideal candidate is a strong digital marketer and project manager who is customer obsessed, data-driven, detail-oriented, and excited to work in a fast-paced environment. This candidate is comfortable working independently, is excellent at communicating with stakeholders including international teams, and collaborates well with cross-functional partners. This is an individual contributor role.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the business goal of driving movie consumption, while balancing customer engagement across the entire Prime Video business.
- Own the planning and execution of merchandizing campaigns that raise awareness and drive streaming of strategic titles.
- Design, analyze and optimize performance of merchandizing campaigns, and share business impact and learnings with local and international peers and stakeholders.
- Support global product teams in rolling out new features and experiments to customers in Japan, representing the customer voice and partner requirements that are specific to Japan to ensure that solutions created are relevant to Japanese entertainment preferences.
- Create and implement an innovative experiment roadmap to drive incremental add-on purchases. Test and learn across multiple devices using statistically significant experiment techniques.
- Exhibit a keen sense of understanding consumers well and develop a playbook based on experiment results on what works well on key pages and locations within the storefront.
- Partner with your offshore marketing operations team to continuously improve operational excellence and minimize errors, striving for accuracy and best-in-class execution while minimizing resource dependency.
- Be the subject matter expert of In-App merchandising on the team, responsible for creating processes to help invent and simplify how we merchandise to drive the biggest impact for customers.
- Deliver business relevant program performance reporting through weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews to senior stakeholders, adding strong business value and input across multiple teams.

About the team
The In-App Marketing team is part of APAC Owned and Operated (O&O) Marketing team. This team is responsible for bringing interested consumers into the Prime Video ecosystem (Traffic Marketing), for improving the experience of customers once they are inside our ecosystem (In-App Marketing) and for supporting the performance of strategically important content. We are passionate about video entertainment content and about helping each of our customers to find the right movie or show for them.

- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience in A/B testing
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Strong communication skills in Japanese and English


- Experience with designing and running marketing experiments
- Experience influencing Global Product experiment roadmaps
- Ability to prioritize ruthlessly to achieve business KPIs, knowing when to deprioritize and say no to stakeholders
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Ability to transform thinking quickly from high-level, strategic thinking into auditing detailed execution
- Excellent communications skills to drive recommendations, articulate tradeoffs, and communicate plans to senior executives
- Ability to juggle a range of projects across Amazon teams balancing quality and speed
- Experience owning creative input, development and execution from concept to completion
